France is fully committed to developing advanced AI technology. Huang Chongren, Chairman of Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, advised President Emmanuel Macron to emulate the United States by leveraging Taiwan's robust semiconductor and IT industry platform to enhance France's future technological capabilities and innovation.

On the 13th, Huang Chongren was invited to Paris to attend the "France's Leadership in AI and Quantum" roundtable conference, hosted by President Macron. This high-level meeting was introduced by French Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire and included prominent figures such as ASML Executive Vice President Christophe Fouquet and senior executives from IBM, Amazon, IQM, Accenture, Mistral AI, as well as leaders from sovereign wealth funds in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, making a total of ten international financial leaders. Huang was the only representative from East Asia invited to this roundtable discussion with senior French government officials to discuss future trends.

Huang emphasized that throughout the development of the high-tech industry, American tech companies like IBM, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, AMD, and Nvidia have consistently relied on Taiwan's highly efficient IT manufacturing platform to drive global operations. Taiwan also serves as a critical technical support base for these American companies. Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang has visited Taiwan multiple times in recent years to seek technical and manufacturing support from Taiwan's semiconductor industry. If France can similarly utilize the established platform advantages and operational experiences of Taiwan, it will undoubtedly achieve mutually beneficial outcomes in terms of technology, cost, and services.

Huang stressed that while France has excellent foundational technological capabilities, the relationship between Taiwan and France has not been as close as that between Taiwan and the United States, which is regrettable for both sides. France could transform Taiwan's advantages into its own by leveraging these strengths to compete globally in future technology fields such as AI.
